YOUR LEVEL OF EXPECTANCY

Sometimes after believing for something to happen for a length of time, we lose our faith and expectany. We must expect the unexpected to happen. Expect means to regard as probable or likely, to look forward to the probable occurence of, to anticipate, to wait for, to look for. We must mix what we know and believe for with expectation. Expectation is the feeling that something is about to happen. If you are reading this right now, raise your level of expectation. Something is about to happen for you. Say this, "I FEEL SOMETHING GREAT IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN."

When we go through trials, we have a tendency to forget what God has promised us. When dangers are great and threatening, you must realize you're coming out because of His promise. God wants to bless you. You can want to be blessed, but you must be willing to be blessed. You want to be bleessed in your mind. You're willing to be blessed in your heart. And the heart remembers what the mind forgets. IF YOU CAN SEE THE INVISIBLE, YOU CAN HAVE THE IMPOSSIBLE.

EXPECT the impossible to happen! EXPECT the unexpected to happen. There was a man in the Bible in Mark 9:23-24, who had lost his expectancy. The church in Acts 12:5, 12-16 prayed for Peter's release, but they lost their expectancey. What you need right now, you may not be able to see with your naked eye, but it's around you somewhere. You just must have faith and expectancy. Sometimes it's easier to expect things to happen for others than to expect them to happen for yourself. But it's time for you to expect it to happen for YOU.

RAISE UP YOUR EXPECTANCY. Say "I FEEL SOMETHING GREAT IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN FOR ME! And say it until you mean it. Say it until you feel it

ADOPTION or ABORTION

Thank You For Having Me - From the Adopted To The Birth Mother

What does it mean to be adopted? What do you feel when you find out you've been adopted? How should you feel about your birth mother? To be adopted means, someone had to give you up. It's a cruel thought and a hurting feeling to think that someone gave you up. But too often we come to conclusions without truly stepping in another man's shoes or should we say another woman's shoes. Most mothers who have given up children for adoption felt that at the time of giving up the child, it was for the best. They weren't jumping for joy and turning cartwheels. And adoption does not necessarily mean they DID NOT WANT YOU. To many children grow into adulthood feeling like their birth mother didn't want them.. It's time to dismiss that feeling out of you because that feeling turns into hurt, anger, then hatred. It's time to dismiss that thought! But you say how can I let it go when my mother didn't want me because she gave me up. NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!!! your mother did want you! SHE HAD YOU!! Did you hear what I said. SHE HAD YOU! SHE DIDN'T HAVE TO HAVE YOU! Babies are aborted every day. Statistics say that there are 3,700 abortions per day in the USA. BUT YOUR MOTHER HAD YOU! She endured the nine months. SHE DIDN'T HAVE TO HAVE YOU! You may not have nor ever develop an ongoing relationship with your birth mother, but you must be grateful that she had you. If she had not at least had you, you wouldn't be here now. You wouldn't even be alive. Everything you've gone through, everything, you've experienced, has made you who you are today. But you would not be any of that if your birth mother had not had you.

Sometimes you're fortunate enough to now who your birth mother is as you're growing up or you meet them early in life. I found out that I was adopted at age 30. It was an additional 15 years later that I saw my birth mother for the first time. It was a few years after I found out that I heard a sermon on Mother's Day that made me realize that I needed to be grateful that she had me. She didn't have to have me.

If you know who your birth mother is, get your focus off of the fact that she gave you up and call the and tell them "Thank You for having me." "THANK YOU FOR HAVING ME!" If you focus on the blessing of being born, God will show you that even in your being given up for adoption, God had a plan for your life. Hurt, bitterness, anger and hatred will keep you from fulfilling the plan for your life. Call your birth mother and thank her for having you. The next Mother's Day, thank her for having you by card, phone call or face to face. But get those words out - THANK YOU FOR HAVING ME!

HURT IN THE CHURCH

People often ask the question, “What do you do when you are hurt by a church member?)

Hurt. What is hurt? We get hurt in the world and get over it. We get hurt in the church and expect it not to happen. Why? Who comes to church. Who sings in the choir? Who ushers on the usher board. People who have come from the world. Why do we think that people who go to church are perfect? They are striving for perfection. Therefore, hurt is a part of life, not just the Christian life.

Remember what Paul went through (2 Corinthians 4:8-12; 6:4-6). Jesus is our greatest example of hurt in the church (Isaiah 53:3-5)

Is there supposed to be no hurt in the church. What about the Pastor? Does he ever get hurt? What about the dedicated Pastor who preaches Sunday after Sunday and continues to see people doing the opposite of what he’s preaching. Does that hurt? It hurts when any parent wants the best for his child and doesn’t see it manifest. Does that mean he or she should stop preaching? No it means he must function past the hurt.

We must teach people how to get over hurts, because they are a part of life, whether it’s in the church or not. It is Satan’s job to do everything he can to prevent a believer from being able to function effectively. Hurt is one of the number one killers of effectiveness, because it controls the correct functioning of the emotions, which peverts ones thinking process. Yes, hurt is real and it’s real in the church.

Sometimes God even allows the hurts to come in our lives to see where our commitment lies. For instance, if God calls you to a church, and because you get hurt you leave. Did God change his mind about the call? No. Every hurt that transpires in the church, is not intentional. Mainly because everybody, and I do mean everybody is growing and developing into what God wants them to become (predestined and preordained). Our focus must not be on the hurt, but what the hurt does for you. We love to quote Galations 5:22-23 an talk about the fruit of the spirit. But in actuality the fruit of the spirit is not manifest in ones life without a negative experience first.

Everyone gets over hurt if they continue to move on. What hinders is when you stop in the hurt and meditate on it. This is why the Word tells us what to meditate on. (Phil. 4:8) So I guess if we compare ourselves to Christ, we have nothing to complain about. We should almost say, “Bring it on.” Because it’s coming any way.

The next time you are hurt, first stop and ask yourself, “What could the person who hurt you possibly be going through that caused them to do whatever they did? What problem do they have?” Ask yourself “Is this situation or person important enough to destroy me emotionally?” The next time you get hurt, say to yourself not why did it happen, but “I’m getting over this.”

GOD IS DESIGNING YOUR LIFE

Design means to conceive or fashion in the mind, to formulate a plan for, to plan out in a systematic form or to have as a goal or purpose. Jeremiah 29:11 says that God know the plan for our lives in His mind and it's good, not evil. So often, because of what we go through, it seems evil, but you've got to believe that GOD IS working it our for your good.

We recklessly seek approval from our human wisdom. But what the world thinks is practical, does not alway work. God's ways are not ours. (Isaiah 55;11).

Too often we treat god's Word like a menu, where we only pick what we like. We have to reprogram ourselves to become more effective in life. God has always appealed to our minds. (Romans 12:2; Ephesians 4:23; Colossians 3:2; Colossians 1:9)
Our thinking, when it's not in line with the Word of God is "STINKING THINKING." It gets polluted by erroneous doctrines and principles, myths we've been taught and experiences we've had. You can smell the thinking of an individual by your actions! What we do, say, and feel is in response to the way we think. We can do no better, speak no more truth or feel no better than the way we think. And our thoughts are a result of what is programmed in our mind. for our minds to be programmed with truth requires study. (2 Timothy 2;15).

Too often we think we are prepared for the victories in life because we go to church. How many times have you gone to church, but yet to see the kind of victories that you heard about in the message? In the natural our ears are in charge of collecting sounds, processing sounds, and sending sounds to our brain. The outer ear collects sounds, The middle ear processes sounds, The inner ear sends sounds to the brain. for us to have the faith necessary to accomplish all that we hear, the Word must reach the inner ear. We can sit in church for 20 years and collect the Word and never possess it. To process the Word means to accept it as truth to be applied.

There are promises God has made to us, but because we have a mental hangover, and don't meet the necessary conditions, we cease to receive what we know we should have. We must hear the Word, Process the Word and Execute the Word and we will then see the kind of results that are a part of the Design that GOD has for our lives.
